You know me best as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and Daily Habit Stacker — but I also play the role of mom to three busy teenagers and partner to Brian, my husband of 20 years and number one supporter.
I have a passion for helping people feel strong and confident. I also love traveling, sunshine, gardening, music, and all things fitness — especially women’s sports.
Like so many women, midlife hit me hard. After the births of my three children, life became busier than I ever imagined—and I stopped prioritizing myself. As an elementary school special education teacher, my days were already full. Then I’d come home to homework, practices, dinner, chores, and errands. I’d fall into bed exhausted… and wake up to do it all over again.
Somewhere along the way, years passed—and without really noticing, I became deconditioned. The weight crept up. The aches and pains started. Even getting up from the floor became a challenge. You know… the “normal” stuff we’re told to accept.
Then one day, sitting at my daughter’s gymnastics practice, another mom started telling me about her gym. I was intrigued—and honestly, a little horrified. It felt like a part of me had quietly gone missing, and I hadn’t even noticed.
The next day, I called and signed up for a trial.
I won’t sugarcoat it—those first few months were tough. My heart rate would spike almost immediately when I tried to run. Even the lightest dumbbells felt impossibly heavy. But I kept showing up.
Initially, my focus was weight loss since that’s where I felt things had slipped the most. It took over a year of consistency, but I stayed the course—and to this day, I’m incredibly proud of that chapter.
Once I lost the extra weight, something shifted deep within me. For so long, I believed losing the weight was the ultimate goal—but when I finally reached it, I realized it was only the beginning. I discovered strength training, and with it came an entirely new sense of confidence and capability. I became excited about building muscle, improving my endurance, and investing in my health not just for the moment, but for the long term.
I started exploring everything I could—HIIT, CrossFit, personal training, HYROX, yoga, running. Each new challenge brought not just progress, but joy. I found a community. I found incredible coaches. I set goals I never would have imagined—and achieved things that once felt completely out of reach.
And it all came back to one simple thing: I kept showing up. Day after day. Small habits. Small changes. Small wins. Because when you do the little things well—over and over again—they don’t stay little. They become something big.
Since starting Bloom Health & Fitness, my mission has been to help people build healthier, happier lives through sustainable habits—not quick fixes. That means practical nutrition guidance, thoughtful goal setting, habit stacking, and strength training that supports real life.
I believe knowledge is power. When you truly understand nutrition, how your daily choices impact your body, and why movement matters, you gain the ability to change your life for good.
Because this isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up consistently, making progress, and becoming stronger—one small step at a time.
